2023 Kia Sportage EX Premium Review
Thanks to a substantially stiffer architecture, a spacious, technically sophisticated cabin, and a combination of two electrified powertrains, the new fifth-generation 2023 Kia Sportage EX Premium outperforms its predecessor. This model offers seating for 5 and 4-doors.
The Sportage EX Premium not only changes on the outside thanks to a divisive new design, but it also changes on the inside. The 2023 Kia Sportage EX Premium has a much more modern and technically advanced cabin than its forerunner, thanks to an all-new N3 chassis that extends the wheelbase 85 mm.
The EX-Premium has a fully-digital dashboard shown on a single large tablet. High-end vehicles feature a 12.3-inch + 12.3-inch layout, while entry-level models get a 4.2-inch digital gauge cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system. The base model in the new Sportage is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. It can be ordered with front or all-wheel drive and is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on both machines. All-wheel drive is included as standard equipment.
The front seats are solid and comfortable, with a coat hanger built into the back of the headrest. It’s a valuable feature for when the kids come inside after playing in the rain.
Because of the long wheelbase, the Sportage has a lot of leg and headroom in the back. There is also a reclining mechanism on the seats, which adds comfort. Cargo space is also among the segment’s top performers.
