Today we’re going to be talking about the brand new 2017 Kia Sorento. This particular model is the LX in Blaze Blue. There are 12 trim levels available of this vehicle but even in the base configuration it is extremely well equipped as we will find out. The LX Sorento comes standard with low profile roof rails, for expanded cargo capacity. Integrated turn signal repeaters to make you more visible to other drivers.
17 inch alloy wheels and automatic projection headlights with fog lights for greater visibility in poor weather conditions. Kia’s signature tiger nose grille also carries over. The 2017 Kia Sorento comes available in three different engine configurations. This particular models equipped with the 2.4 liter gas direct-injection motor. It’s good for 185 horsepower and a 178 pounds feet of torque. You can expect fuel ratings of 11.1 in the city and 8.2 on the highway.
The 2017 Kia Sorento comes with an automatic transmission with the sport-matic mode that lets you change between gears manually without having a clutch. You also have a drive mode select button that lets you change the steering wheel configuration between sport normal and comfort modes. You also have a parking sensor button for disabling the rear parking sensors. You’ll find all of your audio and media controls conveniently laid out on the steering wheel. This lets you keep your hands on the wheel and focused on driving instead of fumbling around looking for buttons trying to adjust settings.
The 2017 Kia Sorento comes standard with three-stage heated seats for both you and your
passenger and air conditioning which is amazing in a base model car. Your head unit has several media functions you can pair your phone via Bluetooth for wireless streaming music into your cabin you can also load music by a USB and you also have a CD player, Sirius satellite radio is also available in this vehicle.
This is the five-passenger configuration on the LX you have additional storage cubbies down here. You also have your jack and tow bar located inside here and a full-size spare mounted on the underside of the vehicle. The 2017 Kia Sorento comes with 40 20 40 split folding seats which lay completely flat and immensely expand the cargo capacity of this vehicle. This vehicle is also available in the seven-passenger configuration and it will replace the cubby storage here with flat folding seats. You don’t lose any cargo capacity. It’s available in the V6 model.
